Central Railway Station ATHINA (PELOPONNESE STATION)

R.S. ATHINA (PELOPONNESE STATION): It was the main station of SPAP in City of Athens, for the Peloponnese network. It took its name from the network it served when it started operating (metric network of Peloponnese). The inauguration of its construction, took place on 30 June 1884 and was completed in 1889. Its design was done by a team of engineers, copying in details the station of CO in Constantinople (Istanbul). With design of Ernesto Tsiler the station completed its final form, with addition of the domes in 1912-13. On 7 August 2005 it ceased to operate with the section Pireas - Aghioi Anarghiri together. It was located 10,290 km from Pireas Station.
