RAILWAY LINE PIRGHOS - OLIMPIA:
On 24 March1890, the contract for the construction of a line was signed, which would connect the city of Pirghos with Olimpia with a length of 20,842 km and a width of 1 meter. The contract was ratified by law by the Parliament on 30 May 1890. On 29 August 1891 this line was completed and delivered to traffic. Its kilometer number started from the station of Pirghos and ended at the equivalent of Olimpia.
